RAAF Base

The city of Sale has a long and proud relationship with the RAAF stretching back more than 65 years. RAAF Base East Sale is very much part of the Sale and Wellington Shire community. RAAF Base East Sale personnel (including families) make up a large part of Sale’s population.

The people of Sale and the surrounding towns have welcomed the RAAF personnel into the community and that relationship now traverses sporting, recreational and employment related activities throughout the Shire. The community is also extremely supportive of the base and its personnel. That close relationship is a feature of a posting to East Sale.

The regional business community has embraced and supported the presence of the RAAF in the Shire and will continue to provide any support necessary to maintain a strong presence in Sale.
